Defending The Indefensible

If you've paid much attention to us, you know that we're not big fans of Ann Coulter. Honestly, I usually just wish that she would shut the frack up. She runs off at the mouth and makes herself, and the rest of us, look like morons. I was quick to criticize her for referring to the Shyster as a faggot.

Okay, all of that said, she's getting a bum rap this time around. I just saw a commercial for Good Morning America that features the second half of her quote. You know the one "next time, if I have anything to say about John Edwards, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist attack (not quite verbatim, but damn close). It sounds just completely over the top, doesn't it? Except that when you know what the first half of the statement was, it really isn't. She's referring to the fact... FACT... That HBO hack Bill Maher pretty much said that it would have been a good thing if Dick Cheney had been killed during that failed suicide bomb assault that took place when he was in Afghanistan. Maher didn't receive 1/100 of the criticism for his outrageous statement as what Coulter received for her comments.

And, of course, the Shyster and Mrs. Shyster are making plenty of money off the whole thing. And his sinking campaign definitely needed the fundraising help.
