I have never been what you would call a fan of the Obama administration's foreign policy. Feckless would be a kind word. However, while he doesn't live up to the frequency of a stopped clock, he is not ALWAYS wrong. I am a tepid and perhaps reluctant supporter of the opening to Cuba.
The truth is that our Cuba policy over the last 50 years has accomplished nothing. At this point it is a relic and nothing more. It gives the Cuban regime excuses for their failures and limits the interactions of our two peoples which might well speed the day of Cuba's freedom. We deal regularly with far worse regimes.
